Pteraxii are flying shock troops with very interesting abilities.

As one of the many specialized castes of cyborg warriors available to the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Pteraxii are optimized for rapid response and maneuverability. The reflexes of the Pteraxii are sharpened by curtailing their cognitive abilities in areas that would hinder their primary function. Additionally, an extra pair of limb stumps — the scapuli superior — are implanted on their backs, which are connected to a thrust-jet flight module and reactive wings. Their flight modules become part of the Pteraxii, who perform various roles. Skystalkers find optimal vantage points from which to eliminate their targets — whether isolated enemy units or rampaging cyber-familiars and servo-cherubim — with a flurry of razor-sharp flechettes.

Pteraxii Skystalkers are armed with flechette carbines, allowing them to unleash a devastating storm of solid shots upon their enemies from a safe distance. The unit's Alpha, however, is armed with a flechette blaster and a taser goad. They provide excellent additional firepower against infantry, but are also equipped with holsters for grenades, which they can drop on the enemy as they ascend into the air.

This kit can alternatively be used to build a unit of Pteraxii Sterylizors, meaning you'll have plenty of extra parts to use for conversions in your collection.

The kit contains 115 plastic components and comes with 5 Citadel Round Bases (40mm) and flying stands. An Adeptus Mechanicus transfer sheet is also included.

The Adeptus Mechanicus Pteraxii in this set are made from plastic components. They are unpainted and require assembly. Paints, tools, and glue are not included in the box.
