Tau Empire: Combat Patrol: Kroot

The Kroot are dedicated to the T'au Empire, but often form their own hunting parties that range far ahead of the main forces. Wielding unique weapons of their culture, combining their preferred tactics with advanced technology, they provide the T'au with a contingent of close combat specialists. Kroot is a general term for a range of different creatures, including everything from the muscular Krootox beast to agile Kroot Hounds.

This packed box is the perfect way to start a Kroot-themed T'au Empire collection – or expand an existing army – and save money compared to buying the miniatures individually. The army is led from the front by a Kroot Lone-spear, riding a lizard-like Kalamandra. Behind him, Krootox Rampagers, an elite line-breaking unit for close combat, charge forth. The core of the force is a squad of Farstalker Kinband, deadly hunters and versatile warriors who can capture and hold important objectives. The force is supported by a Krootox Rider, equipped with a heavy weapon. These 17 multi-part plastic miniatures represent a complete T'au Empire force for exciting, tactical Combat Patrol games in Warhammer 40,000. From this set you can build 17 multi-part plastic miniatures of the T'au Empire:
- 1x Kroot Lone-spear
- 1x Krootox Rider
- 3x Krootox Rampagers
- 12x Farstalker Kinband Warriors

The miniatures in this box are easy to customize. The Kroot Lone-spear can target prey from a distance with a large Kroot Rifle or eliminate key targets up close with an explosive blast spear and a quiver full of sharp hunting javelins. For the Lone-spear, you have two heads to choose from, as well as two head options and two poses for his Kalamandra.

The Krootox Rider carries one of two heavy weapons into battle – either a rapid-firing Repeater Cannon or a Bola Cannon. For the Krootox and its rider, you can choose from two heads each.

On a Krootox Rampager, you can choose from two heads for both rider and mount, and the rider can be armed with a pistol or a blade. Another rider can choose a blade or axe.

The Farstalker Kinband is a versatile kit. The Deathshaper leader can carry a Farstalker Firearm or a T'au Tech-gun. Six of the Farstalkers can choose from two different firearms and one can optionally be equipped for close combat, one can receive a Pech'ra, and another can wield a Dvorgite Skinner or a Londaxi Tribalist. There are 13 interchangeable heads, 13 optional accessories, and the two Kroot Hound heads are interchangeable.

This kit consists of 297 plastic components, 1 Citadel Oval Base (90mm x 52.5mm), 1 Citadel Round Base (32mm), 4 Citadel Round Bases (50mm), and 11 Citadel Round Bases (28.5mm). These miniatures need to be assembled and are unpainted – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
