Rafa "Archiduque" is an acclaimed wargaming miniature painter who works with various figure brands,
including Perry Miniatures. He also writes painting articles for several
publications.
This set includes a personal selection of shades for painting 28mm miniatures set in the Thirty Years'
War. This color palette can also be perfectly used for the English Civil War. The shades can also
be extrapolated to figures in other scales.
The colors are selected for painting 28mm miniatures using the triad system and include a guide
for use inside the box.
The Thirty Years' War was a political-religious conflict fought in Central Europe, pitting an
anti-Habsburg and Protestant coalition against the Catholic allies of the Habsburg Monarchy.
It lasted from 1618 to 1648, ending with the Peace of Westphalia. In terms of uniformity, there was
no homogeneity on either side, except for the Swedish army, which had some regulation.
To identify themselves on the battlefield, armies wore feathers, sashes or armbands with
their national colors.
