KV-85 Heavy Tank

The KV-85 was an interim design, combining the hull of the KV-1S with a turret previously developed for the KV-13 ‘universal tank’ concept, armed with the powerful 85mm D5-T gun. The KV-85 was developed to address concerns that the well-armoured KV-1 lacked the firepower to deal with larger German tanks. Produced in small numbers, it nevertheless proved a dangerous opponent to Panthers and Tigers.

Combining a well-armoured chassis with a powerful main gun, the KV-85 is a great choice for any Soviet tank platoon, where it presents a survivable and lethal answer to enemy armour. When fielded as a pair or trio, they can threaten even the largest enemy tanks!

This vehicle can also be used in Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-range tank-on-tank combat, perfect for duelling with German ‘big cats’ on the Eastern Front. Full rules can be found in the Achtung Panzer! Rulebook.
