Eclipse - The Second Galactic Age

For many years, the galaxy was a peaceful place. After the relentless war between the Terrans and the Hegemony, all major space-faring species made great efforts to prevent the events from repeating themselves. Nevertheless, tensions are growing among the seven major species and in the Galactic Council. A confrontation seems inevitable.

In Eclipse, players become leaders of vast, interstellar civilizations and vie with their rivals over eight rounds for galactic supremacy. In each round, players expand their civilization by exploring and colonizing new space sectors, researching technologies, and building up their space fleet. After the eighth round, the player who has accumulated the most points through won battles, diplomatic alliances, control of sectors and monoliths, discoveries, and technological achievements wins.
