1937-44 Panzer Colors

A 3rd Generation acrylic paint set containing the six colors essential for painting models of German Army vehicles used in Europe from 1937 to 1944.

RAL 7017 Dunkelbraun (Dark Brown) and RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau (Dark Grey) were the standard camouflage colors from 1937-40.

From 1940, RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau (Dark Grey) was used as the sole camouflage color.

In spring 1943, a three-color camouflage system was introduced, using RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb (Dark Yellow) as the base color and RAL 6003 Olivgrün (Olive Green) and RAL 8017 Rotbraun (Red Brown) for disruptive patterns.

As the latter two colors were supplied to troops as dispersion paints that could be applied directly from the container or diluted, there were variations in the color appearance.

This circumstance is accounted for by the inclusion of two different shades of green in this set.
