WWII Soviet Tank Colors

A 3rd generation acrylic paint set with the six colors essential for painting Soviet Army vehicle models from World War II. The "Protective Green" color was introduced in the 1920s and remained in use throughout the 1930s, with some older equipment probably still featuring it on the eve of the war.

The same applied to color 3B AU/ZB AU, which was introduced as a base color in the first half of the 1930s. Green 4BO was developed in 1937, went into mass production in 1940, and became the standard color for Soviet military vehicles throughout the war.

Dark Brown 6K and Sand 7K were introduced around 1939 as disruptive camouflage colors, but their use was quite limited: most vehicles and equipment remained green overall.

On the other hand, washable white paint was widely used during the winter months.
