Battalion commander François Léon de Rochebaron and his loyal followers set out on a path to damnation when they broke free from a Spanish prison. Following the brutal experience at the hands of his Spanish captors, the once honourable de Rochebaron swore relentless revenge on the enemies of France. Thus was born the legend of the "Butchers" of the 73rd Line Regiment.

No quarter was given in battle and they became the scourge of the Spanish Peninsular. It was only when the Bouchers met an English battalion at Grijo in 1809 that they finally met men equal to their nefarious way of war. During the battle, de Rochebaron fought a bloody and protracted duel with an English Captain, only to be outdone in its ferocity by the struggle between his beloved poodle Fifi and the British mongrel, Duchess, at their feet. While all the combatants survived this encounter, they vowed to meet again and settle the matter.

These excellent miniatures are cast in the finest Warlord Resin and positively drip with character - from the vengeful Rochebaron all the way down to the regimental mascot, Fifi the Poodle.
