Auxiliaries are a range of mediums, varnishes and thinners. They can be used to influence paint properties such as gloss, opacity or drying time. Glaze Medium thins paints and delays drying time for applying glazes and pigment mixtures. Metallic Medium gives paints a pearlescent finish. Airbrush Thinner can be used to mix paints in a ratio of 1 part Airbrush Thinner to 2 parts paint and use with an airbrush. Polyurethane varnishes are very durable, can be applied with a brush or airbrush, and dry very quickly. They are applied as a final protective layer and can also be mixed with paints to change their gloss properties. The range is diverse - from glossy to ultra-matte, various finishes can be created.
