GSW offers a brand new alternative for artists and modelers who want to create water effects with this ultraviolet resin.

One-step gel with crystal clear transparency. Apply this product directly from the bottle to your diorama or miniature base to create beautiful reproductions of the sea, rivers, lakes, ponds, or puddles. It has a variety of advantages over other traditional methods of creating water effects:

Ultra-fast drying gel. This product can be combined with a UV flashlight for drying in 2-4 minutes. On a sunny day, the gel has a drying time of 5-10 minutes. On a cloudy day, it takes approximately 20-40 minutes.
It can be colored. The UV resin can be mixed with any of our intensity or dye inks to color the gel with just a few drops. This way you can create different types of water. IMPORTANT! If you want to tint with our dye inks, you must apply them once the resin has fully cured for proper application.
Does not shrink. The UV resin does not shrink like other water-replicating materials. The amount of resin used will be the same amount when fully dried.
Multi-layered. If you want to create the effect of something immersed in water, multiple layers can be arranged on top of each other without leaving layer marks.
The UV resin can be easily cut, polished, and worked. It is easy to handle and can be shaped and carved as desired!
Low odor and toxicity compared to traditional methods.

The use of this UV resin offers many advantages over traditional methods of creating water effects. Firstly, it dries ultra-fast, requiring only 2 to 4 minutes when combined with a UV flashlight, or 5 to 10 minutes on a sunny day. On a cloudy day, the drying time is approximately 20-40 minutes, depending on the thickness of the applied product.

One of the most unique properties of this resin is that it can be colored with all intensity inks or DYE dyes for resins, allowing you to create different types of water such as swampy marshes or radioactive lakes. If you want to color the UV resin with one of GSW's CANDY colors, you should do so when the resin is fully cured.

Another advantage of this resin is that it does not shrink like other water effect materials. The amount of resin used corresponds to the amount obtained when the resin is fully dried, which significantly facilitates processing and achieving the desired result. Furthermore, this resin is multi-layered, allowing you to create the effect of immersion in water by applying several layers on top of each other without leaving visible traces on the different application levels.

This resin is also easy to work with, shape, and carve, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of projects. Compared to traditional methods, it is low-odor and non-toxic, making working with it safer and more pleasant.

If the resin is not yet solid, you can warm it with a heat gun or a kitchen lighter to release any air bubbles that may have become trapped. Also, keep in mind that the resin will remain in its gel state until exposed to natural or ultraviolet light. It is important that the inside of the bottle is not exposed to natural light, as this could cause the gel to crystallize.

When working with UV resin, there are a few things to consider. Ambient conditions can affect the properties of the material. Therefore, it is best to use it in a dry, ventilated place at a temperature between 18 °C and 25 °C. Extreme cold or heat can damage the material. Also, the surface may feel sticky after curing if the resin is not exposed to sufficient UV light or if the UV light output is insufficient. In this case, it is recommended to apply more UV light or a gloss varnish.

GSW recommends using the product within 10 months of purchase, although shelf life after opening may decrease depending on storage conditions, UV light exposure, and low temperatures.
