Due to their relatively short time on the front line, and especially the constant influx of replacements, regular US infantry units never became quite as ‘veteran’ as some other nations who lacked American manpower, training and organisation.

But once they did, they became the iconic Allied 'to be' soldier. Determined and proud they kept fighting in every situation, often until the last bullet.

You can give these veterans any task and they will succeed. They are not invincible, so make sure they are supported or advance behind some form of cover. Better yet, give them a transport and get them to the objective as quickly as possible!
