The M8 Greyhound was a popular armoured car that served American and British troops well during the war. With a crew of four soldiers operating a 37mm cannon and with machine guns as secondary weapons, also for anti-aircraft defence, the M8 proved to be a solid scout car. Due to its speed, hence the name of the British greyhound, it was able to reach up to 55 miles/hour. The armour was sufficient to protect the crew from small arms fire, with speed being its greatest protection. They were usually deployed in pairs to scout enemy lines, then quickly retreat and provide each other with cover fire. This set allows you to build three models in two variants: the M8 with the well-known turret and 37mm cannon, and the M20 armoured car.
