Following the D-Day landings, the US Airborne were re-equipped with the new M43 uniform and ready to face some of their greatest challenges of the war - Operation Market Garden and the Ardennes Offensive.

Airborne units relied heavily on the support weapons they could take into battle with them. The 81mm M1 and 60mm M2 mortars offered valuable indirect firepower, whilst the M1 Bazooka gave the paratroopers a fighting chance against enemy armour.
