Mortars played an enormously important role in World War II, providing vital indirect fire support in a lightweight, portable package. This made them particularly crucial for airborne troops, who needed their support weapons immediately upon landing. With the 81mm mortar, US airborne troops received a powerful weapon for suppressing and engaging enemy infantry, proving popular, reliable, and deadly throughout the war.

Medium mortars are among the most commonly used units throughout Bolt Action, giving your force the ability to unleash deadly indirect fire upon the enemy. They are one of the core units of Heavy Weapons Platoons and, when in line of sight of a friendly spotter, can threaten enemy units across the entire battlefield. This 3-man team, made from finely detailed Warlord Resin, wears the iconic M42 jump uniform, made famous by American paratroopers on D-Day, and is the perfect addition to any US Airborne force.
