US Airborne troops made great use of mortars and machine guns to support their landings and used these weapons extensively in place of heavier equipment. They are often the only fire support available to paratroopers in the first minutes and hours of an operation, and their successful use can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Heavy Weapons Platoons are a vital component of any Bolt Action army – as the name suggests, this is where you'll find the infantry's support weapons, particularly mortars and machine guns! These can play a large role in-game, providing the firepower you need to support your Rifle Platoons. This box contains everything you need to support your US Airborne in D-Day style with a Heavy Weapons Platoon – two medium machine guns provide direct fire, whilst a medium mortar team provides destruction from above, plus a Platoon Commander to lead them!

Cast in finely detailed Warlord Resin and clad in the M42 jump uniform made famous on D-Day, this Platoon is ready to assault.

The box contains one Warlord Resin US Airborne (D-Day) Officer, two metal medium machine guns with three Warlord Resin US Airborne (D-Day) soldiers each, and one metal medium mortar with three Warlord Resin US Airborne (D-Day) soldiers. Also includes four Bolt Action Order Dice and plastic bases.
