Tyranids: Combat Patrol: Tyranid Assault Brood

Tyranids can manifest in a terrifying array of forms, each more horrifying than the last. Small raiding forces have been observed led by the creature known as the Parasite of Mortrex. These forces are shielded by heavily armored Tyrant Guard, supported by the walking artillery known as Biovores, which launch living spore mines across the battlefield. Perhaps the most dangerous element are the aggressive and stealthy Genestealers, which charge forward, ripping and tearing with their razor-sharp claws.

If you want to devour all the biomass in the galaxy, this box is the perfect way to start a new Tyranids collection – or expand an existing army – and save money compared to buying the kits individually. The force is led by a nightmarish Parasite of Mortrex, which infects its prey with a barbed oviproctor. Three Tyrant Guard can smash through the toughest enemies, while Genestealers skulk ahead to finish off any survivors. Finally, a Biovore provides long-range support. These 18 plastic miniatures represent a complete Tyranid Assault Brood that you can use in thrilling, tactical Combat Patrol games in Warhammer 40,000 – the rules for this Combat Patrol can be found as a free download on the Warhammer Community website.

From this set, you can build 18 Tyranids plastic miniatures:
- 1x Parasite of Mortrex
- 3x Tyrant Guard (which can alternatively be built as Hive Guard)
- 1x Biovore (which can alternatively be built as a Pyrovore)
- 3x Spore Mines
- 10x Genestealers

The miniatures in this box are easily customizable. The Genestealers have various head options, and the Biovore can alternatively be built as a flamethrowing Pyrovore.

The Tyrant Guard can be built with rending claws, scything talons, or bone sword and lash whip. The heads, bodies, tails, legs, arms, and weapons are interchangeable among the miniatures, allowing you to indulge your inner hive mind as you assemble them. They can alternatively be built as Hive Guard, armed with an impaler cannon or shock cannon.

The kit contains 260 plastic components, 1x Citadel 80mm Round Base, 1x Citadel 40mm Round Base, 1x Citadel 25mm Round Base, 3x Citadel 50mm Round Bases, and 10x Citadel 32mm Round Bases.

These miniatures need to be assembled and are unpainted – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
