As light reconnaissance units, Pathfinder Teams are the eyes and ears of their commanders, fulfilling this role at a level that drones have not yet achieved. A Pathfinder's primary role is not to engage the enemy, but to conduct forward operations close to the enemy, gathering as much information as possible.
