Backed by unparalleled logistical support, the US Army rapidly grew into the most mobile and tactically flexible fighting force the world had ever seen. Well-supplied and well-led, the US infantryman, the famous GI, was convinced of success in every theatre he fought.

This Starter Army allows you to field a fully compliant US Army for Bolt Action: Third Edition – all in plastic! With 36 infantrymen armed with rifles, carbines, sub-machine guns, automatic rifles, and bazookas forming a rifle platoon, supported by the mortar teams and machine guns of the heavy weapons platoon, you have a flexible core of troops ready for any tactical challenge. They are backed by a tank half-squad, consisting of a ubiquitous Sherman and an M8 armoured car (can also be assembled as an M20 scout car), with a 57mm medium anti-tank gun in an artillery half-squad for even more firepower. The artillery and heavy weapons crews, a total of 16 men, are fully interchangeable with the infantry.
