The Soviet forces, including the Naval Brigades, benefited from enormous indirect fire support from the "God of War" - their long-range artillery. With a truly impressive number of gun and rocket batteries, the Red Army could rain down fire to support their advances or prevent enemy breakthroughs. They also enjoyed excellent close air support, thanks to the legendary IL-2 "Sturmovik", a truly deadly aircraft designed exclusively for low-altitude attacks. However, all this firepower must be directed at its target by someone - this is where the Forward Observer Team comes in. Two men, armed with the most dangerous weapons of all, binoculars and a radio, this small team gives any Soviet rifle squad on the Bolt-Action tabletop a serious punch.
