THE STORY

After years of bitter fighting, the galactic civil war known as the Horus Heresy reaches its climax. The Warmaster and his traitorous Legions arrive at Terra, the Throne World of Humanity and seat of the Emperor. On his way to dominion over the galaxy, Horus is opposed by those of his brothers who have remained loyal to their father.

The prelude is a massive space battle for the home system of mankind. Only when the defenses are breached can the traitors begin the actual assault on the Imperial Palace and tear down its walls. Corrupted and strengthened by the Gods of Chaos, the renegade sons of the Emperor return to the place where they were created, and nothing and no one seems able to stop them...
