Sd.Kfz 222/223 Armoured Car

The highly effective German Blitzkrieg tactics in the early years of World War I across Europe, Africa, and the Eastern Front required fast, nimble vehicles. German Blitzkrieg became infamous in the early stages of the war and also proved effective in the deserts of North Africa. Leading the spearhead of these swift and highly mobile assaults were the reconnaissance battalions of the Wehrmacht. They would race ahead of the panzer divisions, searching for safe routes and locating enemy positions to eliminate them.

The Sd.Kfz 222 Leichter Panzerspähwagen was a four-wheeled armoured car built by Horch, armed with a light 2cm autocannon and a coaxial MG34 machine gun. The command variant, Sd.Kfz 223, removed the autocannon and added radio equipment with a distinctive frame antenna. It saw service in all theatres of war where German forces were involved and was also used by the Romanian, Bulgarian, and Nationalist Chinese armies.

Contains one plastic model that can be built as either an Sd.Kfz 222 or Sd.Kfz 223, Bolt Action Order dice, Bolt Action stat card, vehicle damage markers, assembly instructions, and a full-colour waterslide decal sheet for German, Romanian, Bulgarian, and Nationalist Chinese vehicles.
