San Marco Marines Infantry Section

Under Mussolini, the lone San Marco Marine Infantry Battalion took part in the Abyssinian and Albanian campaigns, eventually joining a second battalion to form the Reggimento San Marco.

The marines formed the assault backbone of the Forza Navale da Sbarco (Naval Landing Force) and participated in landings on the Dalmatian coast and various Greek islands, as well as anti-partisan operations in Montenegro. By 1942, a third battalion was formed and deployed to North Africa, where it distinguished itself at Tobruk.

The box contains 9 metal figures with plastic bases and water slide decals.

Models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
