After conquering the cities of Greece in 334 BCE, Alexander III, the young king of Macedon, crossed the Hellespont. He pursued a truly unique goal: he wanted to subjugate the greatest empire the world
had ever seen - the Persian Achaemenid Empire.

In the course of his incredible campaign of conquest, Alexander the Great achieved countless victories that earned him the title by which he is still known today. He defeated every enemy that stood in his way until his exhausted army finally refused to follow him further into India, where powerful and unknown enemies awaited.

Alexander died undefeated but young, leaving his empire in the greedy hands of various upstarts who squandered his legacy in senseless wars. Under their short reign, the phalanx dominated the ancient battlefields one last time before these short-lived dynasties were swept away by Romans and Parthians.

Age of Alexander is a complete SAGA game world that includes the following:

Age of Alexander is the second SAGA expansion dealing with antiquity. It describes the many events that shaped the Greek world, from the Persian Wars to the chaotic era of the Diadochi Kingdoms. This expansion contains six factions - some of which include multiple variants - that are fully compatible with those from Age of Hannibal and the upcoming Age of Caesars. All included factions have their own battle board, history,
legendary units, and special rules.
In addition to these factions, this book contains a wide selection of mercenaries that can complement your army, as well as new stratagems. With these, you can customize your army by giving units special advantages or delivering insidious low blows to your opponent.
This expansion is rounded off by Diádokhos, an extensive campaign system for SAGA, in which you take the lead of a Diadochi dynasty and strive to recreate Alexander's empire according to your own ideas. Diádokhos includes new rules and a magnificent campaign map showing the lands you seek to conquer.
