Bolt Action: Polish Infantry Squad in greatcoats (10 man)

Despite the dual invasion of their homeland by Germany and the Soviet Union in 1939, the vastly outnumbered Polish military fought with bravery and tenacity. The Polish army in 1939 was large, well-equipped, and relatively well-armed. It fought hard but was completely outmaneuvered by fast-moving German panzer thrusts, supported by all arms, in a new dynamic style of warfare that a largely foot-borne Polish army was unable to contend with. When the Soviets entered the fray, also invading Poland and dividing the country in two, it was too much for an already overmatched army lacking tanks and air support to hold on – the end was inevitable.

The Poles put up fierce resistance to the two invading forces, despite in some cases being utterly outnumbered. Many desperate actions saw the Poles fight the attackers to a standstill, with the stoic infantry holding their ground while the dashing Polish cavalry surprised the enemy.

Equipped with Mauser rifles, greatcoats and standard Polish uniform. Warlord sculptor Wojtek brought these fully kitted out heroes, fighting in early autumn 1939, to life.
