The 10th Cavalry Brigade was one of the most famous units of the Polish Army in World War II. Due to their distinctive black leather jackets, they were also popularly known as the "Black Caps" or Black Brigade. They were arguably the most modern unit in the Polish Army and when the Wehrmacht invaded Poland, they made the Germans pay dearly for every inch of lost Polish soil.
