Warlords of Erehwon: Oni Ogres

The Oni are ponderous creatures, with one or more horns sprouting from their monstrous heads and skin brightly colored red, blue, or green. Oni are not merely mortal creatures but demons or malevolent spirits made flesh. Of the four gates to the world, the Kimon (Demon Gate) is guarded by sleepless Oni, whose task it is to keep evil spirits out of the lands of mortals. The Kimon lies under the stars of the Ox and the Tiger – which is why Oni have horns like an ox and wear tiger-skin clothing. They are armed with large iron clubs called kanabo, which are almost as big as themselves.

In the game of Warlords of Erehwon, Oni are powerful monsters that wield "massive maces" and can perform two melee attacks simultaneously. They are large monsters, and their combat power is impressive, making them deadly opponents.
