She is the Mournful Bride, the Unrequited Queen, the Veiled Lady, and the Mortarch of Grief. She is the manifestation of despair, the embodiment of gloom. She is Lady Olynder, and within her are bound all the sorrows and torments of the realms. Her power transcends the melancholic, for she radiates spirit-destroying waves of pure despair. Mortals in her presence are overwhelmed by a gloom so heavy that only those with the strongest will can remain standing. Most fall to their knees, mentally vanquished by their own hopelessness. It is a sorrow so powerful that it can lead a mother to abandon her child, a warrior to lay down his sword and accept the inevitable, it can even stop a beating heart.

This multipart plastic kit contains the components necessary to build Lady Olynder, Mortarch of Grief. As the Mortarch of Grief, she is surrounded by an aura of absolute misery – the miniature impressively portrays hopelessness. She hovers above the ground in her gruesome bridal gown and veil, with little of her recognizable beyond the outline of a skull. Her train, torn and ruined, billows behind her; a thread of this ghostly garment holds the miniature on its base. Thorny tendrils of grave-roses, which sprout wherever she hovers, coil around her waist and up to her headpiece, which itself resembles a thorn bush. In her right hand, she holds the Midnight Staff, an ornate staff ending in a polished gemstone of vitrified grave-sand. She is accompanied by 2 macabre Banshee Handmaidens, gruesome skull-faced spirits. Each carries a gift – an enchanted grave-sand hourglass, a gift from Nagash himself, which can be shattered with deadly effect, and a sealed casket whose contents are a mystery; it is unlikely to be anything positive...
