The M3 Medium Tank, introduced into American service in 1941, was intended to serve as an interim tank until the M4 Sherman was developed and brought into production. Despite this, it was by no means a poor vehicle, featuring excellent mechanical reliability and potent firepower, albeit in a somewhat archaic layout.

This kit allows you to build the M3 (known as the ‘Lee’ to the British in this configuration), a potent medium tank that could be fielded by American, British and Soviet forces. You can build this vehicle with either the earlier short-barrelled or later long-barrelled main gun – in Bolt Action games we treat the M3 as a medium tank with a damage value of 9+, armed with a hull-mounted medium anti-tank gun, and a turret-mounted light anti-tank gun, plus a medium machine gun!
