Legions Imperialis: Xiphon Interceptor Squadron

The Xiphon is an ancient fighter craft, capable of operating in orbit and atmosphere, with many variations of the basic design found on lost colonies throughout the galaxy. Potent in battle and heavily armed, the Xiphon had more or less been phased out of active service by the end of the Great Crusade – tens of thousands were rapidly reactivated when the Horus Heresy erupted.

Xiphon Interceptors are tougher than most fighter craft and boast heavy firepower in the form of four lascannons and a missile array, allowing them to cut through the heaviest enemy resistance. The frag missiles can be replaced with krak missiles to shatter ground targets, and hunter-killer missiles when air superiority is the goal, making these aircraft more than a match for most opponents, and this box gives you no less than six of them to support your army.

These models can also be used in games of Aeronautica Imperialis if you mount them on Aeronautica Imperialis bases, sold separately.

• 6x Legions Imperialis round flying bases with ball socket flight stems (40mm)

These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.
