Legiones Astartes: Whirlwind Missile Tank

The Whirlwind missile tank provides mobile fire support for the Legiones Astartes, suppressing or destroying enemy forces to support advancing Legionaries. Its high mobility allows it to redeploy after firing, thus escaping enemy counter-fire and infantry assaults.

This multi-part plastic kit builds one Whirlwind missile tank, a mobile artillery piece for your Legiones Astartes armies in Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. Based on the widely-used Rhino chassis, it sacrifices infantry transport capacity for a powerful missile launcher, capable of firing a variety of different warheads at multiple targets. It's ideal for blasting enemy units from across the battlefield without fear of reprisal, and clearing vital objectives for your infantry to secure.

This kit includes two pintle-mounted bolters and smoke launchers, as well as components to upgrade your Whirlwind with an additional pintle-mounted weapon – an inferno heavy bolter, a heavy flamer, a multi-melta, a havoc launcher, or a combi-weapon with five configurations (bolter, flamer, melta, plasma, or volkite) – plus a searchlight, a dozer blade, a hunter-killer missile, and cosmetic options such as towing hooks, sigils, and a choice of a Space Marine gunner, spotter, or a closed hatch.

This miniature has no Legion-specific markings, allowing it to be fielded by any Legiones Astartes force, whether you are loyal to the Emperor or have cast your lot in with Horus' rebellion.

This kit includes a Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheet containing 288 high-quality decals. These include symbols for the Imperial Fists, Sons of Horus, Salamanders, and Iron Warriors Legions, as well as numerals and other symbols to adorn your tank.

This kit comprises 124 plastic components. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
