Tactical Squads form the backbone of the Space Marine Legions, as these highly versatile infantry units can attack or defend at will, storm heavily fortified positions, and seize and hold strategic objectives – or simply exterminate the foe – in almost any terrain and situation. All 18 Legions make extensive and varied use of Tactical Squads – through the might of thousands of superhuman warriors like these, armed with deadly bolters and equipped for battle in the most dangerous warzones, the Imperium carved a bloody swathe through the galaxy at the spearhead of the Great Crusade.

The Mark VI 'Corvus' Power Armour is the most advanced pattern of power armour to be approved for mass production at the time of the Horus Heresy, and its iconic 'beakie' helmet is packed with additional sensors. Production of this armour continued even as forge worlds became embroiled in brutal civil wars, and the armour became a common sight in the years following the Heresy's end.

This multipart plastic kit builds 20 Space Marine Legionaries, which can be fielded in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy as a 20-model Legion Tactical Squad or two 10-model units. Each of these Legionaries is armed with an Umbra-pattern bolter and bolt pistol, and comes with a variety of additional equipment like grenades and pouches, and can also be equipped with a bayonet or chainbayonet for close-quarters combat. You can also build up to two Legionaries with a Legion vexilla, two with a nuncio-vox, and two with an augury scanner each, and thanks to the alternate heads included, you can build a Legion Tactical Sergeant for each of your squads – the kit includes a range of additional weapon options for these unit leaders, including plasma pistols, power swords, power fists, and lightning claws. These models have no Legion markings, allowing Warhammer hobbyists to paint them in the colours of their choice – however, the box includes a transfer sheet with 339 optional markings and icons for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions.

This set comprises 352 plastic components, and is supplied with 20x Citadel 32mm Round Bases and 1x Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheet. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

You will need a copy of the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Rulebook and either Liber Astartes: Loyalist Legiones Astartes Army Book or Liber Hereticus: Traitor Legiones Astartes Army Book to make full use of these models.
