Legiones Astartes: MkII Veteran Squad with Disintegrators

Veteran Squads are found in every Chapter and Company of the Space Marine Legions. They are made up of experienced warriors, some of whom served in the earliest days of the Great Crusade. Many such units gain permission to bear specialist, dangerous, or particularly rare weaponry, bringing lethal firepower to bear where needed and acting as exemplars to their less-experienced brethren.

The Mark II 'Crusade' pattern power armour was the pinnacle of Space Marine engineering when it was created, a void- and radiation-sealed suit of combat plate capable of shrugging off more damage than any before it. Despite its age, it remained in widespread use throughout the Horus Heresy.

This multipart plastic kit builds 10 Veteran Legionaries, which can be fielded as a Veteran Squad in Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. They are ideal for taking vital objectives, bringing down heavily-armoured foes with their disintegrator weaponry, and operating just as efficiently on the attack as on the defence.

This kit can be used to build an optional Sergeant, Nuncio-vox Legionary, Augurium Scanner Legionary, and Vexillum Legionary. The Sergeant can be built with one of three heads: two unhelmeted, and one with a transverse crest helmet. He can be armed with either a bolter or plasma pistol in one hand, and a power sword, power fist, or lightning claw in the other. The Sergeant can also be equipped with an optional meltabomb. The bolter-armed Legionaries can have an optional bayonet or chain bayonet. Their heads and accessories (including grenades, pistol holsters, and pouches) are interchangeable.

Alternatively, the squad can be equipped with the following weapons:
- 10x Disintegrator rifles
- 2x Combi-disintegrators
- 2x Disintegrator pistols
- 2x Disintegrator blasters
- 10x Battery packs

These miniatures have no Legion-specific markings, allowing you to paint them to match any of the Space Marine Legions, whether loyalist or traitor.

This kit comprises 202 plastic components, 10x Citadel 32mm Round Bases, and 1x Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheet, with 618 high-quality, waterslide transfers for you to customise your miniatures with the iconography of the Sons of Horus, Imperial Fists, Iron Warriors, and Salamanders Legions.

These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
