Legiones Astartes: MkII Tactical Squad

Tactical Squads are the backbone of the Space Marine Legions, the fighting force that reclaimed much of the galaxy during the Great Crusade. A highly flexible unit, they are efficient in both offence and defence, and can be used to storm defences, capture and hold strategic objectives, and fight reliably in any zone and situation.

When first conceived, the Mark II ‘Crusade’ pattern power armour was a masterwork of Space Marine engineering. A fully sealed, radiation-shielded combat suit capable of taking more punishment than any armour before it, its age meant it was still commonly used during the Horus Heresy.

This multi-part plastic kit builds 20 Space Marine Legionaries that can be fielded as a Tactical Squad in Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. They are ideal for holding vital objectives, mowing down foes with volleys from their bolters, and shoring up the battle line to secure victory.

This kit can build either one large unit or two smaller units of 10 warriors, both of which can be given their own optional Sergeant, Nuncio-Vox Legionary, and Vexillum Legionary. The Sergeant can be built with a choice of three heads – two unhelmeted, and one with a transverse crest – and can be armed with either a bolter or a plasma pistol and a power sword, power fist, or lightning claw. They can also optionally have a meltabomb. The bolter-armed Legionaries can optionally be equipped with bayonets or chainbayonets, and their heads and accessories (such as grenades, pistol holsters, and pouches) are interchangeable between models.

These miniatures can also be used to represent the following units:
- Veteran Tactical Squad
- Tactical Support Squad (using the Special Weapons Upgrade Set, sold separately)
- Heavy Support Squad (using the Heavy Weapons Upgrade Set, sold separately)
- Praetor Command Squad or Centurion Command Squad (using the Legion Command Upgrade Set, sold separately)
- Destroyer Squad (using the Melee Weapons Upgrade Set, sold separately)

These miniatures feature no Legion-specific markings, allowing you to paint them in whichever Space Marine Legion colours you choose, be they loyalist or traitor.

This kit comprises 344 plastic components, 20x Citadel 32mm Round Bases, and 1x Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheet, which contains 618 high-quality waterslide transfers (including iconography for the Sons of Horus, Imperial Fists, Iron Warriors, and Salamanders) to adorn your miniatures.

These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
