L/I: Mastodon Super-Heavy Assault Transports

One of the heaviest assault transports in the Legiones Astartes' arsenal, the Mastodon is reserved for use against the most heavily defended positions. Many times the size of a Land Raider, it can carry over forty Space Marines across the most dangerous of battlefields, protecting them from enemy fire. The Mastodon’s primary role is to transport troops directly into breaches, which it creates with its frontal-mounted Siege Melta Array. Few fortifications can stand against such a terrifying weapon, and the Legionaries can press straight through molten stone and steel into the heart of the enemy’s position.

This multipart plastic kit builds two Mastodon Super-heavy Assault Transports, massive vehicles for your Legiones Astartes armies in Legions Imperialis. Their Void Shields make them the ultimate infantry transport able to withstand tremendous firepower, as your foe fruitlessly tries to bring it down before it can deliver its deadly cargo, streaming elite infantry straight into the thick of the action. Their Siege Melta Array is designed to blast through enemy bunkers, but can equally fell Knights and even Titans. The Mastodon sports a Skyreaper Battery to keep enemy fliers in check, as well as sponson-mounted Heavy Flamers to eliminate infantry. The kit also includes a choice of weapons for the sponsons, Heavy Bolters or Lascannons, and there are two hatches, one of which can be built open with a Tank Commander overseeing the battlefield.
