Kuebelwagen Ambulance

The Kubelwagen was the military version of the Volkswagen and proved to be a reliable, rugged and popular little workhorse, seeing action on all fronts from the beginning of the war.

Whilst it did not have the four-wheel drive of the Allied Jeeps, this was compensated to a degree by its lighter construction, differential lock and good ground clearance. It could carry four men (three plus driver) - enough to transport a weapon team or an HQ unit.

A German medic tends to a casualty in this converted Kubelwagen field ambulance before heading to the next aid post. The miniatures can be easily painted as Afrika Korps, Waffen-SS or Heer, so this new vehicle will have a great appeal to all German army players!
