Korean War: Chinese PVA SMG Squad

Much like their Soviet counterparts, the CCP army also learned the lesson of the massed submachine gun assault. In a PVA rifle company, two submachine gun squads were located in the company headquarters providing firepower where needed. These SMG squads acted as scouts, securing points, leading assaults, and could also be detached when the commander had a particular need. A variety of weapons were issued, the standard PPSh and US World War 2 Thompson submachine guns.
