Konflikt '47 United States Roberta Wells - Firefly Hero

A physics graduate, the appearance of the Los Alamos Rift at the Trinity test site caused Roberta to dedicate herself to the study of Rift energy. The Axis powers’ use of Rift horrors, most notably the dreaded Totenkorps, in late 1944 caused her to volunteer for deployment to the European theatre of war to investigate the application of Rift technology in warfare. Despite numerous objections from the US Army, her request was eventually granted.

Her no-nonsense approach, resilience to the psychological horrors of Rift-war, and her willingness to get fully involved saw her stand out amongst the scientific advisors attached to the front line. Roberta demonstrated marked independence, often detaching herself from the unit she was attached to rather than be constrained in conducting her studies. Despite this, she gradually earned the respect of the US Army soldiers tasked with her safety in the field, displaying a remarkable aptitude for combat situations.

Considered the United States’ greatest hope in investigating the Dresden Rift to safely bring it under control or neutralise it, Roberta has returned to the front lines in 1947, attached to the 109th Airborne Division en route to Dresden. As a particularly valuable member of the team, she has been granted the use of a prototype suit of armour specially designed to work with the Firefly jump pack. Of course, she has already started making her own modifications…
