Konflikt '47 Empire of Japan Tadaaki Kimura, Scourge of the Spirit Realm

Until late 1946, Kimura Tadaaki had been an Imperial Japanese Army test pilot, specializing in armoured walkers. He almost lost his life when the 'Ghost Engine' of a prototype exploded, enveloping him in Rift Energy. Instead of becoming just another unfortunate victim of the phasing experiments, Kimura miraculously survived, but he became something far beyond human.

Kimura had been cast into the Shinobi realm, far from human perception, infused with energies that resonated with the place he found himself. Although he yearned for death, it would not come, as he appeared to have developed an imperviousness to physical injury. He also discovered he had developed the ability to partially manipulate the energies within him, such as projecting them with force or creating and controlling energy constructs.

For the first half of 1947, Kimura trained with philosophers and scientists based on Iwo Jima to master his new abilities. They also crafted him unique armour, which served two functions: it helped him to contain the raging energies within him and served as a morale-boosting reminder of samurai traditions to the spirits he fights alongside.
