Konflikt '47 British Commonwealth "B for Bertie" Automated Infantry Hero

"B for Bertie" was built at the English Electric Works in Preston and rolled off the production line like any other Mk-I Automaton. However, it was not until his first deployment as part of Operation Cavalier near Antwerp in Belgium that Bertie can truly be said to have been born.

On June 9th, 1946, a contingent of heavy Axis panzermechs ambushed Bertie's formation. In the chaos of the battle, Bertie was lost from the sight of his human companions. When the ambush had been repelled with significant losses and the Axis forces retreated, Bertie too had vanished. The unit was considered fallen in combat, but this was not the case.

With little power remaining, Bertie laboriously dragged himself back to the battlefield, but his unit had long since moved on. Instead of simply decaying patiently, his primitive automated system adapted, and Bertie became something other than a simple, factory-produced automaton. He scavenged the battlefield for fallen automatons, replaced his faulty leg, collected power cells, acquired ammunition and weapons, and embarked on a new odyssey.

The box contains a plastic figure, supplied with a plastic base and assembly instructions.
