Konflikt '47 Axis "The Harvester" Oberstarzt Albrecht von Zögling

Albrecht von Zögling is the Axis officer in charge of the Totenkorps program and a long-standing member of the Grünes Gewölbe. His obsession with the dead led him to spend years studying the texts within the Grünes Gewölbe library, and whenever possible, visiting battlefields or massacre sites where he would collect bodies to experiment on - earning him the whispered nickname "The Harvester".

On March 12th, 1944, the bomb fell on Dresden, and von Zögling's dreams were fully realised. Around half a million dead now wandered the ruins, and a seemingly inexhaustible source of Rift energy was now at his disposal.

The secrets of the Rift gave von Zögling the means to reanimate the dead to a scale he hadn't even dared to dream, and he soon developed the serum that would replace the crude power packs previously used to reanimate the recently deceased - a serum that could be injected directly into a corpse, and have it walking within seconds.

Unlike many of his students, von Zögling isn't content to sit back and observe the fruits of his labour from afar, making a habit of scouring battlefields for prime material for further experimentation. Always concerned with the effects of injury on the human anatomy, he has become very skilled at inflicting them himself, having trained over the years into a proficient marksman and equally skilled swordsman. Whenever opportunity presents itself, he leads his personal Rotte of Totenkorps, to witness the glory of his creations in action, wearing a custom-made suit of combat gear that holds space for a variety of medical devices, as well as a supply of serum to reinforce his Totenkorps legions at a moment's notice.
