Bolt Action: Japanese Bamboo Spear Fighter squad

As World War II progressed, the Japanese armed forces were pushed back from the territorial gains they had made in the early stages of the war.
With Allied bombing raids and ground campaigns hampering Japanese industry, the Emperor's soldiers learned to use whatever material they had available to face the enemy, as firearms and ammunition became increasingly scarce. Japanese soldiers sacrificed themselves with grenades, a brave final "Banzai" charge with drawn swords, or with sharpened bamboo poles as makeshift spears.

The fanatical devotion to their Emperor, their country, and their honor led many brave Japanese soldiers to such acts. Allied troops were both in awe and disbelief at such heroic deeds, as the Japanese attack would in most cases be annihilated in the face of sustained Allied firepower. Nevertheless, the Japanese attacked...

The figures in this box represent a group of desperate but proud Japanese soldiers in the remnants of their uniforms. Banzai!
