Italian Army Weapons Teams

Infantry weapons teams are a key component of any Bolt Action army, providing your force with great tactical flexibility. Sniper teams, anti-tank teams and light mortar teams are among the most common weapon types, presenting the opponent with numerous challenges to overcome.

The Solothurn anti-tank rifle was a cross between a true anti-tank rifle and a light anti-tank gun. Fitted with a light wheeled carriage and magazine feed, the Solothurn could achieve a rate of fire of up to 20 rounds per minute.

The Italian Army had no dedicated sniper rifle, and the relatively lightweight Carcano Model 1891, with its small-calibre bullet, was not ideally suited to the task. However, in the hands of a skilled marksman, the weapon was deadly enough.

The Brixia 45 mm light mortar, in the hands of well-trained soldiers, was a powerful and successful weapon. Its rate of fire was higher than similar weapons of other nations, and its accuracy was also unsurpassed.
