IS-2 Heavy Tank (2025)

What do you do when you are tasked with upgrading an already huge metal monster that took an entire generation of tanks to deal with? You make it bigger and louder. The IS-2 is exactly this monstrosity, developed as a competent replacement for the KV series, and it was a far better conceived machine than its predecessor.

It had thick frontal armour and a huge 122mm gun, despite its size; its weight is comparable to that of the German Panther. The IS-2 was intended as a breakthrough tank and therefore received a weapon suitable for this task; and it gloriously broke through the German lines and into the heart of Germany itself.

In Bolt Action games, the IS-2 is a heavy tank with a heavy anti-tank gun that can be integrated into any armoured platoon.
