IONIC WWII British Camouflage & Airborne Denison

The Ionic Smart Colors WWII British Camouflage & Airborne Denison Set contains 12 acrylic paints specifically selected to provide the essential shades for painting British and Commonwealth World War II airborne uniforms, as well as the Pixie Suit (a British tank crew suit also used by soldiers at the end of WWII).

The set includes two browns for the camouflage base: a more brownish version and a more greenish version (later production batches from 1944), as well as a darker brown for shadows. These colors are also suitable for painting the iconic British combat uniform worn on paratrooper trousers. For the camouflage pattern, the set includes a pea green and a dark brown for painting the characteristic brushstroke markings. Where these overlapped, applying one color over the other created a darker shade. The set also includes several colors for equipment, including a light khaki-green for webbing and pouches, black for boots, brown for wooden parts and the water bottle, and even maroon for the beret, as well as a skin tone. This set also contains a light bone color that can be mixed with the other colors to create highlights.

Each of these colors can be used to paint specific parts of the figure, but they can also be mixed to create new shades and nuances that can be used to create volume through the play of light and shadow.
