An army is also a symbol of its king, his prestige and his majesty, so it is only right and proper that King Louis's own army will be the most powerful in Europe to represent him as the most powerful king. His men will hand over the Spanish throne to him, no matter how many "pathetic" countries band together to stop him.

In this set you will find all the necessary parts to recreate many of the units that fought to support Louis XIV's claim. Each box is designed to allow you to create a 24-man battalion consisting of 20 ranks and files, two standard bearers, a drummer and an officer. The variety of heads allows you to recreate any nationality and personalise your army, making each unit unique. The drummer has a mitred head or a tricorn, depending on the nationality of the regiment you are creating, while the officer can have a sash to the side or front. He also has a choice of sword and pistol to lead his men against the Holy Roman Empire and their treacherous allies.

You will also find attached a selection of colours worn by the forests of King Louis and his allies. Here, two French regimental colours, one Bavarian regimental colour and one colour of the "Wild Geese", Irish regiments in French service, are presented. Also included are the colours of the French Guards.

Also included are head options, pouches and belly buttons to allow you to raise a separate company of grenadiers to replace the line infantry. Grenadier headwear often varied between nationalities and sometimes between regiments, but those included herein represent the most commonly used.
