Bolt Action: Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer

Based on the proven Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis, almost 3,000 Hetzers (Bait) were built by the end of the war. Their small size and very low profile gave them significant advantages in the tank destroyer role.
Furthermore, the Hetzer was neither hampered by the mechanical problems of larger tank destroyers like the Jagdpanther and Jagdtiger, nor did it have the unprotected fighting compartment of the Nashorn or Marder tank destroyers.

Hetzers equipped many Waffen-SS and Wehrmacht formations (including the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine) that were active on all fronts where Germany fought, as well as with the Hungarian army. In May/June 1944, the first Hetzers were put into service with the 731st and 743rd Army Tank Destroyer Battalions.

With this plastic box set, you can build one of three vehicle types: a Hetzer, Flammpanzer 38(t), and a 2cm FlaK on Hetzer reconnaissance/AA vehicle.
