Heinkel He 111H Squadron

The He 111 was the most numerous medium bomber in the Luftwaffe at the start of WWII, and arguably the most recognizable. Although rugged and popular, the Battle of Britain showed the He 111's weak point; its poor defensive armament. As more modern bombers became available at the front, the He 111 was gradually re-tasked to various duties, including maritime patrol and transport/logistics.
