Grand Cathay: Sky-Lantern

Sky-Lanterns are wonders of Cathayan ingenuity, employed by the armies of the Celestial Dragon to survey foes from on high, and direct ground troops in battle. Suspended beneath the lantern is an armoured gondola, from which one of Grand Cathay's many magistrates can signal to troops with fans and banners, or direct the fire of the army's war machines. Should enemy fliers or ranged troops get too close, the crew will fire at them from their excellent vantage point with crane guns.

This multipart plastic kit builds one impressive Sky-Lantern, an unusual war machine for your Grand Cathay armies in games of Warhammer: The Old World. The hovering gondolas can be equipped for several battlefield roles, from flying artillery to bombing platforms. The kit includes components for a Magistrate, who can ride inside the Sky-Lantern or walk on foot. The crew can be armed with crane guns, hailfire guns, blackpowder bombs, or dragonfire bombs. Regardless of its loadout, this miniature will be effective on the battlefield, and a centrepiece for your collection.

The kit comprises 128 plastic components, 1x Citadel 100mm Square Base, 1x Citadel 25mm Square Base, 1x Large Citadel Flying Stem, and 1x Sky-Lantern Transfer Sheet featuring 115 high-quality waterslide transfers for your miniatures.

This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
