These hard-bitten German veterans are perfect for fighting in the ruined cities of WWII. They are packed with special equipment and ready for battle!

This starter army gives you everything you need to field a combat-ready force of German veterans for Bolt Action games. Based around a rifle platoon with two Heer Infantry squads, supported by an anti-tank rifle team able to take and hold objectives, forming a strong core to the army with formidable hitting power with its specialised support platoons. It is also accompanied by a medic, whose intervention can keep your troops in the fight when the going gets tough.

The first platoon is the heavy weapons platoon, equipping the force with potent anti-infantry firepower ensured by two medium machine guns and a medium mortar. Ideal for setting up defensive positions and supporting attacks, it provides a great counterpoint to the small but hard-hitting Engineer Platoon. This platoon fields two Pioneer squads, each equipped for close quarters combat and carrying a deadly flamethrower, as well as a separate flamethrower team to burn the enemies out of their positions!

Finally, there is the armoured platoon, bringing both wheels and tracks to the battlefield. The Sd.Kfz 223 armoured car comes with excellent mobility and points the way for the powerful Panzer IV with its deadly and efficient short-barrelled howitzer!

With these four platoons, you get a great core force that can be played on the tabletop immediately and serves as a foundation for a large and versatile collection. Ideal for an army dealing with the fierce fighting in Stalingrad. This force can be built in numerous different ways to represent dozens of units and is the perfect way to start your collection!
