THE STORY

Lord Fulgrim – ascended Primarch of the III Legion, the Perfect Son, the Waiting Emperor – issues a challenge to his warriors. They are to conquer the Imperial world of Tiegel and bring him the head of the Black Templar responsible for its defence.

However, Fulgrim’s plans extend far beyond the conquest of a single planet, and what began as a swift and bloody offensive becomes a gruelling siege. Success is uncertain, and as the world around them burns and the Legion turns its weapons not only outward but inward, the aspiring champions must ask themselves a bitter question: What must they sacrifice for victory and the favour of their Primarch, and what will be left of them when the war is over?
